I've been spending time learning more about buddhism and adjancent philosophies lately, from a range of directions. I've taken a lot from Joseph Goldstein, whose teachings were recommended by a friend of mine.
I most recently listened to Joseph's Insight Hour on Working with Fear, in which he talks about what courage is. I found myself referencing this to a few people over the last couple of days, so I thought I would note it down:
And what is courage? It's the ability to act despite fear or with fear, in the face of fear. Where fear no longer limits us.
It's not about not being afraid. It's about if you do it anyway. Take courage!
