There is quite a lot of hype around Zora at the moment. Earlier this year they moved from creating NFTs to creating Coins for new posts, and they more recently introduced Creator coins (associated with a given "creator"). Combine both of the above with some "flywheels", and you have a recipe for attention and speculation.
I have a lot of opinions about that, but I am also conscious that I might be heavily burdened by what has been, when it comes to tokenization. So rather than debate on the timeline, I thought I'd try building a couple of things with the resulting protocol - more specifically via the Coins SDK.
Zora the app is trying to do a lot of things right now, sprinkling trader-type functionality on top of an Instagram-style social feed. One view that I felt was unsatisfactory was the holdings page for other users, which is just a grid of posts. Without going full "trader portfolio", what kind of visualisation might better capture the relative value of a user's holdings?
Zortfolio is a small experiment along those lines, check it out: Zortfolio.
It's pretty simple, but there are a few things I like - it's an intuitive illustration of a user's holdings, while using the image for the background of each rectangle keeps it true to Zora's creative origins.

@jacob's Zortfolio
It's interesting to see how different collectors have been approaching things - for example @coopahtroopa and @jessepollak have been hoovering up creator coins. @jacob has plenty of those too, but the horse is a massive share of his overall bag.
There are some nuances around the data returned from the Zora API which mean that it's not a perfect picture, but it's a good start - take Zortfolio for a spin today!
